Food is something that is a major part of our lives. It is involved in everything that we do. The problem is that sometimes we forget about what we ingest. Food can either be a friend or an enemy depending on what you eat. When choosing the next meal, one should consider having more alkaline foods.

When mapping out a diet regime, one should take into account the PH level. An 80% alkaline base and a 20% acidic base should be the correct balance for the body. By having the accurate mixture of certain foods, a person can maintain the correct PH balance.

Alkaline foods help to keep the PH levels below 7.0. This allows for the body to absorb the minerals it needs to have a healthy immune system. If a diet is too low in alkaline foods, the body will begin to take away from itself to fix the problem. The bones will be the first.

Foods that are alkaline in their natural form such as spinach becomes acidic when it is cooked. The problem is deeply rooted in our society due to our modern lifestyle. Foods that are raw in nature, uncooked, seem to retain their alkaline nature, but becomes acidic when heated such as spinach.

Making the decision to have a PH balanced diet is easy. One can still have a good meal while also taking into account the items that they are eating. Green Vegetables are a good source and the greener, the better. Herbal seasons help to also reduce the acidic levels in the body.

Other foods to keep in mind include Roots, tubers, legumes, and nuts. Natural sweeteners can also be a good source for the body. With these few changes, one can become healthier. Eating the right foods can help give you a longer life and a well maintained immune system. The benefits when having a balanced PH in your diet.
